卡洛斯塞尔德兰获得过18次剧评人奖,8次古巴作家艺术家联合会表演艺术家协会的卡瑞卡托奖,分别于2004年和2010年两次获得过卡马圭国家戏剧节导演最高奖,并于2006年获得过卡马圭国家戏剧节导演一等奖。
2000年,卡洛斯塞尔德兰荣获国家文化荣誉奖。

An all-important personality in Cuban contemporary theatre, Carlos Celdran is a past winner of the Cuban National Theatre Award. In addition to his work as a professor, he has authored various books on the theme of stage direction. Celdran is the artistic director of one of the most famous Cuban theatre companies, the prestigious Argos Teatro, with which he has received awards and critical distinctions at festivals, both in Cuba and abroad. Carlos Celdran’s productions are distinguished by his use of only the bare essentials on the stage to create minimalistic dramas. Celdran has staged a wide range of productions, from classics of universal theatre, to works by international contemporary authors and young Cuban creators, which are perennially well received by audiences and critics alike. He is President of the Cuban Centre of the International Theatre Institute (ITI).
 
 
Argos Teatro Theater group was founded by Carlos Celdrán in 1996. With Argos Teatro, Carlos Celdrán has established a permanent laboratory for actors in the search for a common language. The mixture of techniques and methodologies, always with the actor in the foreground, has allowed the theater to have its own style, recognizable by the audience and the critics.

Argos Teatro has toured Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Germany, Spain, the United States and Brazil.
 
Since its foundation, Argos Teatro has participated in all editions of the International Theater Festival of Havana and the National Theater Festival of Camagüey, Cuba.
He has participated in festivals like: Mexico, door of the Americas, in Mexico City; At the Festival Miradas of the city of Santos, Sao Paulo, and the Festival of Theater group of the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The International Festival of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; The Virgilio Piñera Festival of the University of Miami, USA; among others.
 
Carlos Celdrán has received eighteen Critics Awards and eight Caricato Awards from the Association of Performing Artists of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, two Grand Prizes of directing at the National Theater Festival of Camagüey in 2004 and in the 2010, And the First Prize of Directing in 2006.
 
Carlos Celdrán received the Distinction for National Culture in 2000.
 
In 2016, Carlos received the National Theater Award, for his career.
 
Carlos Celdrán has been professor of the Superior Institute of Art of Cuba for more than 15 years, he has also been teaching at the Alicia Alonso Superior Dance Institute, of the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid, Spain.
 
Carlos Celdrán is President of the International Institute of Theater (ITI) of Cuba and is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Central Organization of that institution.
